2019 Season Dates - Senior Competitions

7 Nov 2018 by AFL Riverina

AFL RIVERINA IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE 2019 SEASON DATES FOR THE RIVERINA FNL AND FARRER FNL.

After consultation with all Senior Clubs in both competitions, including five possible draw options being presented to these clubs, it was found that Option Three was the most popular across the two leagues. This option provides two General Byes for the season, one for the traditional Representative Round and one for the Easter Weekend, which lands on 21/22 April in 2019.

Some clubs have expressed interest in the opportunity to play on Good Friday, this is an exciting possibility which AFL Riverina will work through with the interested clubs and relevant parties. AFL Riverina is also looking to finalise the Representative Program for 2019, working with a number of interested leagues to play the Riverina FNL and Farrer FNL respectively, the likely date of any games being Saturday 18th May 2019, noting this is subject to change. AFL Riverina will advise the finalised Representative Program in due course.
